Bio

Anastasia Margariti-Börgel is a doctoral researcher at Paderborn University. Her work within the project “Cultures of the Cryosphere” focuses on the implementation of Blockchain Technologies in securitizing Food Supply Chains.

Anastasia studied Philosophy and Social and Cultural Anthropology in her minors and finished her masters in Social Anthropology from the University of Münster in November 2025, with her MA thesis delving into the impacts of environmental changes on the culinary practices of Cretan hospitality. Her research foci lie within the domains of food anthropology, nutrition imaginaries and the interrelationships between environmental changes and food consumption.
